Fact: the most important thing about a person is his standing with God.
That being said.. I am a Christian!
I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God (John 1:49), that He lived a perfect life (Hebrews 4:13), that He died for my sins (I Corinthians 15:3), that He rose from the dead (Luke 24:6), and that He is returning for His Church/bride (Revelation 22:12).
Growing up in a home with Christian parents, I was always re-asking God to save me, just to be extra sure all my bases were covered. This is especially stupid in hindsight, because once God saves a person from his sins, he’s set! (Romans 10:9) However, I recall one night (I don’t remember the exact date) in the 7th grade, when it dawned me on me,
“I’m broken over my sin (James 4:6-8, Romans 3:23). I recognize who Jesus is (John 14:6, Romans 6:23). I believe in His work on the cross and His resurrection, have asked for forgiveness, repented of my sin, and confessed it with my mouth (John 3:16, 1 John 1:9, Acts 2:38, Romans 10:9). So.. there’s literally nothing else to it! I’m saved!”
And ever since that night, I’ve never had to doubt my salvation ever again!
Oh, and you need Jesus too! 🙂 – Seriously, though..
But yeah, now that the important stuff is nailed down, my name is Murray.. C. J. Murray.. (pause for James Bond effect), but normally it’s just plain C. J. Friends have nicknamed me as The Ceej. Other friends have given me the code name of Captain America which I wear proudly, as well as Peter Parker.
I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and moved to Plymouth, Minnesota when I was 4. I attended Fourth Baptist Christian School k4 – 12th grade. I traveled with The Academy of Arts the summers after my Sophomore and Junior years of highschool. The summer before I went to college, I attended the very last 9-week semester of Ellerslie Discipleship Training. I went on to major in Accounting at Pensacola Christian College, which I traveled for as a representative the summer before my Sophomore year, and I am currently a Junior, working for PCC’s Accounting Department.
Sophomore year of highschool (2013) was when God really started working in my life, and it is also when this website was first coined. It’s called The Traveler’s Overflow because I’ve traveled a lot, I love to journal, and this what I would consider another journal of mine.
I pray that everything I write and post brings honor and glory to Jesus Christ.
By the way! Get some rest. You look tired.. 😉
